This fun-filled painting depicts an actual event from Jonas'childhood, when he spent a winter with his grandparents near the Nevada Nuclear Testing Facility. The dramatic lighting and skilful use of color and light evokes a powerful childhood memory of an amazing time.

| "As a sturdy lad, I learned that radiation can have some good effects too. In this case, it somehow and enlarged, animated and cloned the snowman that Grandpa and I had made. These gentle giants romped through the area for days, entertaining one and all with their giant antics and playfulness. We were all sad to see the sun come out and eventually melt them, despite the truckloads of dry ice that Grandpa poured on their melting shapes. They kept going til the bitter end though, and we saved the meltwater for Grandpa's cows. |
