| Jonas Kaskade is one of the most admired and collected artists in this part of the galaxy. His dramatic, fantastic landscapes and quaint, sweet, rustic, understated cottage scenes can be found in many a place, and his adoring fans are legion. Having grown up in modest circumstances, Kaskade touches the heart with simple scenes and heartfelt sentiments that reflect his robust past and devout nature. Kaskade uses his artistic gift to communicate inspirational, salt of the earth, life-affirming, family down-home values and anyone who doesn't like that can go to hell. It was while growing up at a remote wilderness outpost in the mountains of Washington State that Kaskade nurtured a life-long love of nature and of quaint English-style cottages. His devoted parents, Isaac and Hezebeketh, instilled in young Jonas their respect and love of the natural world as they surveyed and studied alpine glaciers in the vast wilderness of the Cascade Mountains. Perceiving a similarity between the mountains' name and his own, young Kaskade vowed to become both protector and promoter of the rugged range. As young Jonas explored the world around him, he began to record what he saw with sketches and small paintings. Soon, he was traveling further and further from his beloved mountain fastness, eventually winding up at the Puget Sound Academy of Fine Arts where he earned a master's degree in Extra Fine Arts. From there, he journeyed to England for two years to study quaint, rustic cottage architecture. |

| I'll do anything to get a painting! says Kaskade. "I wanted to capture the purity of the glacial scene. To feel the ageless cold that has gripped the mountains in its merciless grasp for many thousands of years. So, I waded into a lake to capture the magnificent panorama before me. The suffering was worth it and God protected me from permanent harm as I recorded His wonders to behold." Soon you too will be able to own Jonas' vision of this wondrous place with the imminent publication of the painting, 'God is in His Mansion, and the Furnace don't Work'. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Upon his return, young Jonas wished to marry his childhood sweetheart, but current law prohibits marriage to a goat. Instead, Jonas sparked, courted, wooed and married the goatherd's daughter Esmerelda. Together, Jonas and Esmerelda planned their artistic future and within a few years, Jonas Kaskade originals and prints began gracing the walls of local motels and taverns. From that modest beginning, the Kaskades have continued to expand their art empire. Quality paintings and prints can now be found in dentist offices, elevators, church community centers, homes as well as in such publications as Sunset, Readers Digest and Parade. Kaskade art can also be found on greeting cards, stationary, postcards, bookmarks, napkins, dinner plates, mugs, underwear, mousepads, t-shirts, cufflinks, sweatshirts, tote bags, calenders, bumper stickers, wall posters, more greeting cards, note paper, electric guitars, window decals, toilet lid covers, lapel pins, baseball caps, screensavers, pillowcases, jigsaw puzzles, toilet paper and much more. The art is what it's truly all about, said Kaskade, It's what I was born to do and it's what I love the most. I always travel with a brush and paints, usually three brushes. Grabbing paint brushes and slinging paint onto canvas is the first thing I do in the morning, and the last thing I do at night. Well, almost the last thing. I didn't learn my art from freakin' copies or prints. I learned it the hard way; by observing and recording what I saw onsite. I never had a camera when I was a rambunctious, sturdy lad, so had to find a way to record the magnificence of the landscape I grew up in. Now, thanks to the wonders of modern marketing, I can share my art with millions, and that's what it's all about. That's uplifting. Communicating the joy and peace I feel in nature, or around rustic English cottages, with my many fans. Kaskade's joy and serenity comes through in every piece he does and now you can share in that. Originals and prints, framed and unframed, are available, along with the aforementioned many products that are graced by his designs. Be sure and visit the online Kaskade Gallery as well as the Jonas Kaskade Collection and indulge yourself. Jonas and Esmerelda currently spend most of their time on the road, but when they can they visit their new home in the mountains, on the border of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. There, they return to their roots, taking strength from the splendid views and proximity to nature's wonders. Their close-knit family currently includes daughter Bonita (age 10) and sons Noble (age 7) and Lofty (age 5), as well as venerable Uncle Cletus and the old family hound, Ol' Yellerstain. |
